Delivery FAQ


When is the deadline for delivery?

Noon, the day before delivery.
For example, if you live in Vancouver and choose Friday for delivery, Indish needs to receive your order by Noon on Thursday.

What time are meals delivered?

Deliveries are dropped off between Noon and 5:00 pm. Delivery routes are not made until shortly before delivery, and delivery times are also affected by traffic, so we cannot be more precise. If you would like to receive delivery before a particular time, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate. Delivery time requests can be put in the comments section after choosing delivery during check-out or by giving us a call at 604-731-DISH (3474).

Do I have to be home to receive delivery?

No. The Indish driver will knock on your door or ring your bell/buzzer, but if you're not available, your ordered meals will be left at your door in a cooler bag with ice. The fresh ingredients on ice will stay food-safe for at least 8 hours, giving you plenty of time to get them.

What if I live in an apartment?

Indish delivers to apartment buildings also. Please put any special drop-off instructions (such as buzze # or concierge location) in the comments section after choosing delivery during check-out or by giving us a call at 604-731-DISH (3474).

Can I get delivery to my office?

Yes. Indish is happy to deliver meals directly to your office. Please put any special drop-off instructions in the comments section after choosing delivery during check-out or by giving us a call at 604-731-DISH (3474).

Is there a deposit for the cooler bag the meals are delivered in?

Yes. You'll notice a deposit amount of $20 is added to your first order when you choose delivery during check-out. This deposit amount is credited to your account when the cooler bag is returned, typically on your next delivery. If you won't be home for your next delivery, you can just leave the cooler bag outside the door at your address and the delivery person will pick it up. The deposit fee credited to your account can be used again for future orders.

Do I have to order on-line for delivery?

No. Indish is happy to take your order via telephone/email/fax. If you leave us a voice mail, or send us an email or fax, please leave a contact telephone number. We'll give you a call back to confirm your order and receive your credit card payment information.

What if I need dinner for a non-delivery night?

Indish meals will stay fresh in your refrigerator at home for at least 3 days after delivery.
For example, if you want a fantastic dinner for a Sunday night (who doesn't?), place an order for delivery on Friday and it will be perfect for cooking on Sunday night.

What is the cost of delivery?

$8 is added to your order to cover delivery. This amount has been carefully calculated to cover the average cost of delivery with no extra profit. The delivery fee barely covers gas, insurance, wear on the car, and pay for the driver. We're happy to provide this service to you at our own cost.
